Meridian LMS booth: staff cheat sheet

SNEF, Fri 30 Oct. For everyone on the booth, including those who don't sell LMS.

Goal of every chat: a hook plus a name card. Not a full demo. About 90 seconds, then scan the QR and take their name card. Offer the full LMS deep-dive and a calendar invite on the spot.

90-second talk track

1 Pick a role"Pick a role. These are 4 samples; any role works." (Sales Executive, Payroll, Recruitment, Customer Service)
2 Plan is drafted"Meridian LMS drafts the plan from the person's role and CV, their last performance review, their own feedback and our Meridian LMS modules. That is why it is not a generic plan."
3 Manager approves"The manager checks and approves. Each skill has four kinds of action: on the job, observed, coaching and a course. Courses come from SWDA and IHRP."
4 Call check"AI checks the real call transcript. The manager signs off. Managers in Singapore ask for that sign-off."
5 Result"Scan the QR to leave your details." Then take their name card.

Manager view first, then the employee view if there is time. Employee view (/booth/employee): "This is what she sees on her phone: her plan, tips and certificates."

Positioning (say it exactly)

Meridian is a suite of three products: Meridian LMS, Meridian Hire, Meridian Workforce. Think Microsoft Office: Word, Excel and PowerPoint are separate products under one name.
The booth shows Meridian LMS only. Never say LMS includes Hire or Workforce. If asked about them: "Those are separate Meridian products."

Our edge (USP)

A plan has three components. Our consultants deliver components 1 and 2 (the people side: the plan content, built with the client). The product delivers component 3 (running the plan: tracking, checks, sign-off). Say it plainly: "We build the content with you. Our L&D expert can be deployed to your company. Then Meridian LMS runs it." (Exact names of components 1–2 and 3: confirm with Keith.)

Booth setup tips

  • Tips toggle: small "Tips" button in the header, off by default. When on, one short talking-point card per screen. It stays on for the session until Start again or the idle reset.
  • Back button: appears from step 2 onward (drafting, 3, the course screen, 4, the full call and 5). From steps 2 and 3, Back returns to the role list (pick a role again). Back from 5 to 4 and 4 to 3 keeps the marks and comment; course and full-call screens return to their step.
  • Course link: step 3 "View course" is a clear button. The course screen has a link that opens the real public course page (SWDA-funded / IHRP course, on the provider's site) in a new tab, plus a QR code the visitor scans to open it on their phone. Needs internet; offline the link and QR still show.
  • "Who did you speak to?": on the start screen, the setting is labelled "Booth staff"; pick one of 6 names (Keith, Jason, Andy, Penny, Jayden, Derrick). The visitor's phone form is pre-filled and they can change it; "Other" free text exists only on the visitor's phone form. Sales sees it in the lead list.
  • Any laptop or iPad works; it is one general link.

FAQ: short answers

Why only 4 roles? They are samples to keep the demo short. Any role works.
What goes into the plan? The role and CV, the last performance review (grade and manager comments), the employee's own feedback, and Meridian LMS modules.
How customisable?Yes. We build the content with the client, and our L&D expert can be deployed. Meridian LMS can also start from your existing files and suggest a plan.
Mandatory courses and deadlines?Yes, the system is policy-driven: mandatory courses can be set with deadlines. This is a talking point, not on the booth screens.
Logins? The booth demo needs no login. For sign-in in the full Meridian LMS, offer the deep-dive or bring in Keith. (Confirm with Keith.)
Want to see more?Offer the full LMS deep-dive. Send a calendar invite on the spot.
Are the courses real?Yes. SWDA and IHRP courses are real public courses; the booth is shared with SWDA.
Funding? WDG / JR+ grantThe booth says: "Part of the AI Starter Kit (HR), fundable under WDG(JR+)". Do not quote amounts or eligibility; hand over to Keith. Don't expand "JR+" unless marked. (Confirm with Keith.)
Is it too simple? The booth shows one clear path on purpose. The full LMS has much more depth: offer the deep-dive.

Do and don't

  • Do say "Meridian LMS" when you name the product.
  • Do take the name card after the QR.
  • Don't claim anything the booth doesn't show. If unsure: "Let me get Keith to answer that."
  • Don't present the people and numbers in the demo as real clients: they are made up. The courses are real.
  • Don't quote prices or fees. Course fees on screen are the provider's.
